This causes Naru and Keitaro to take a long look at their relationship and decide that it is time to take a big step in a new direction.

Keitaro's triumphant return isn't going smoothly, and Kanako's devious impersonations of Naru hardly help matters. Hinata House isn't the only thing that's changed over the months, as Keitaro seems like a new man, and theories about a blonde-haired American girl named 'Julie' abound. When Keitaro laughingly informs the girls that 'Julie' was a gorilla, Naru and Kanako resume their competition for Keitaro's attention. It's going to be an uphill battle for Kanako, since Keitaro has no memory of his promise to run Hinata House as an inn with her. But before the issue can be resolved, Keitaro's grandmother announces that she will hand over the Hinata House to him on the condition that he marries one of the girls.
